My name is Amy Prentice. I am 22 years old and am currently living
in Iowa. I have been in love with the Pillsbury Doughboy since I was
a child. It's great to meet other collectors. I just viewed
your site for the first time and I really enjoyed it. I wanted to
submit a couple of pictures that I hope you will enjoy. One is of a
cardboard Doughboy display that I have. The story behind it is that
my husband worked in a grocery store and took the display from the
Pillsbury frozen section. He superglued magnets to the back of it
and brought it home for me to put on our refrigerator. It really
brightens up the kitchen and adds a special touch to my collection.
I love the older collectibles that you have on your site, especially the
family. I only have newer things. I just started collecting 2
years ago when we got married and I chose to do our kitchen in doughboy.
I have included a picture of my collection. It includes a cookie
jar, salt & pepper shaker, clock, placemats, potholders & oven
mits, a spoon rest, 3 vinyl dolls, a doughboy bean, a mini bean, a large
plush doll that came with the clock, and a limited edition 1999 Christmas
tin that came with a doughboy cookie cutter. Not shown are some
kitchen towels and wash rags and a small magnet. And of course the
homemade magnet my husband made. Sorry the picture isn't better.
Well, thank you for your time and happy doughboy hunting!
